After having spent several days dealing with Py and Scooby's severe separation anxiety issues (I've not been allowed to even potty alone since we got back)  got me thinking about who their mews, chirps, mrows of indignation etc, remind me of.

Scooby, totally Wally Cox in a Paul Lind sort of way.  And maybe a splash of Liberace.

Py–kind of a cross between Alfred Hitchcock and Darth Vader.

And yes, while I agree I should probably back away from the cat nip and the bleach, you have admit we've all thought about who our masters remind  us of, either in voice or 'tude.

So come on, who does your puddy sound like?

Rani sounds like Vivian Leigh in Gone With The Wind, the bit where she tries to seduce Lesley Howard. "Ashley, oh Ashley" is her general tone of voice.

I always think that Dude sounds like a little girl.  The occasions that he meows, it's so plaintive and girly somehow.

Bruiser is definately the Godfather.  Attitude and voice.  He can't meow, just makes dry "meh" sounds when he's about to hit me.

Poor Mongo sounds like a valley girl, for sure

Soleil hardly ever makes any noise, but Marie Catoinette has her imperious, demanding shriek down to a science, sort of like Barbara Streisand on steroids.

Luna has the nickname Jabba the kitty for her slothful ways. Her purr, which happened when she is trying to knead your soft tissue to a softer, and likely more bloody texture is like an old car engine., The kneading is like a compulsive hand cleaner who must repeat the activity over and over and over and over…All the while the purring gets louder and has a ring of extreme satisfaction. Meanwhile, I'm trying to get her the hell off of me. Which is another reason for that nickname.

Miko is the needy one, she has a bird like chirp and insists on being completely in my business. It like having a small child around constantly asking "whatcha doing? Watcha doing? Can I watch? Oo. What's that?" And that's just when I'm brushing my dang teeth.

Lola has always sounded like the air is being squeezed out of her when she meows.  Weirdest meow I've ever heard.

I was gonna say Yoko Ono, but I don't even have a cat, and I've never had one that sounded like her singing, but I'm sure somebody has a cat like that, right?

Just the other day, I was thinking about naming cats and dogs after dead rock stars, using the last names: Lennon, Hendrix, etc. cat-sleep-1

icon_rofl-1icon_rofl-1icon_rofl-1@Tonksrok.  Poor Soleil, sounds like he can hardly get a mew in edgewise with Marie Catoinette in control of everything.

Allegro–I think Scooby has been taking knead lessons from Luna.  When he finally figured out how to do it, nobody told him that it's a claws IN activity.

In spite of Scooby's squeaky little voice, he's totally a ladies man and a shameless flirt.

Soleil is a kneader – does the deep tissue massage then forgets that he needs to keep the claws in!!  Luna likes to knead with her claws out – sadistic little maniac.

The few times I've heard Soleil meow it's more like a soft little mow, plaintive and lost.  Poor guy, but it brings me running so he knows what he's up to.
